The Owners, Midwestern
boaters from the Great Lakes area, knew exactly what they wanted
in their new 87’ motor yacht. Their design brief for the interior
specified that “the boat should have a look that is
“cranky”. We’d like the interior to look like
it is 100 years old- we would like it to be reminiscent of the traditional
classic yachts, yet be inviting and comfortable.”
With a traditional saloon of stained cherry cabinetry, Ardeo Design
has incorporated an antique brass compass, bronze library lamps,
a writing desk, and a breakfast buffet cabinet with sliding panel
access to the galley. A 50” flat plasma monitor raises on
a motorized lift just forward of the custom designed leather upholstered
sofa. Framed antique prints located throughtout the vessel depict
scenes of towns and landscapes of areas the Owners have cruised
during their journeys.
The flush deck yacht, which features naval architecture and exterior
styling by Tom Fexas Naval Architects, has four staterooms, each
with it’s own ensuite Bath. |
